Coolum Boardriders clubhouse is situated in Tickle Park on the beach at Coolum. Club contests are run monthly in front of clubhouse or at the best available surf locally. Surfers both male and female are encouraged to compete in divisions from under 12 to over 50. Google coolum boardriders for contest schedule and current results. Coolum is a highly competitive club with both team and individual successes including the 2001 Straddy Assault. The club has also been awarded the Simon Anderson Boardriding club award. Coolum boardriders also run the successful Yaroomba Classic every year.
