Coolum Boardriders, on the northern end of the Sunshine Coast, encourages surfers of all ages to get out in the water and enjoy the fantastic surfing conditions in and around Coolum.
Earlier this year, Coolum won the prestigious Simon Anderson Premiere Club Award at the Australian Surfing Awards, held on the Gold Coast.
The award recognises the club that has made a significant contribution in the area of club surfing during 2008. Criteria include administration, competition results and structure, environmental contribution, community involvement and support for junior and women’s programs.
Coolum is the first Sunshine Coast club to win the award, which has been going since 1998.
