Jake Stone to compete in this weekend's State Bodyboarding titles on the Sunshine Coast
Friday, 19 July 2013
International Bodyboarding Association (IBA) World Tour competitor, Jake Stone (Buddina, QLD) will now be competing in the two-event State Bodyboarding Titles series, further adding to the A-list cast of Queensland Bodyboarding talent who will vie for their chance to represent Queensland at the Australian Bodyboarding titles at Coffs Harbour in November this year.
“I’m really pumped for this weekend’s contest and psyched to see some of the best talent the Sunshine Coast has to offer. I love competing with the local crew,” said Stone, 24, who will join a host of eager bodyboarders who will be looking to etch out a place for themselves in the Queensland State Bodyboarding team and eager to take on one of the World’s best.
The NMD Stox State Title is the first of a two event series taking centre stage on the Sunshine Coast this weekend 20th and Sunday 21st of July. The Stealth State Title is the second and deciding event that will take place back on the Gold Coast Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th of September.
The Queensland two-event State Bodyboarding Title series is the premier State bodyboarding series and will determine the Queensland Bodyboarding Team to compete at the National Bodyboarding Titles to be run by the International Bodyboarding Association Australasia (IBAA) in Coffs Harbour, NSW in November.
