In a fitting tribute to the late Michael Peterson, three generations of Coolangatta surfers in the form of Sheldon Simkus (Snapper Rocks, Qld), Dean Morrison (Snapper Rocks, Qld) and none other than Wayne “Rabbit” Bartholomew all advanced through the opening round of the Chiko MP Classic today, in powerful one-metre waves at Duranbah Beach.
