A-teams from both the Gold and Sunshine Coast across shortboard, longboard and stand up paddleboard (SUP) will converge one final time in a bid for Queensland surfing supremacy, a hefty slice from the $20,000 prize pool and a year’s worth of bragging rights on the Sunshine Coast this weekend. With age divisions ranging from U/14 all the way to O/60, this year’s state challenge has over 70 of Queensland’s finest competing for their respective clubs and regions.

Gold Coast Boardriders Clubs battled it out in clean 1 metre waves during the opening round of the World Surfaris Coast of Origin surfing series at Duranbah beach today. All clubs were vying for a position in the representative team that will take on the Sunshine Coast’s best surfing talent on July 27th & 28th.

Surfers in today’s World Surfaris Coast of Origin Interclub Surfing Series were greeted by pristine 1 metre surfing conditions at Perigian beach on the Sunshine Coast. Competitors were eager to make the most of the perfect waves with standout performances being posted by surfers from Sunshine Coast Boardriders Clubs throughout the day.
